The mark consists of a shaded triangle representing a roof. The triangle is outlined by a thin white line, and then again by a darker line. Under the triangle is an elongated rectangle representing part of the facade of a building, shorter and centered to the bottom of the triangle above it, containing the word "THE" in stylized, center-aligned capital letters. Under that is the word "INSTITUTE" written in larger, stylized font, also center-aligned and shaded to appear to be reflective. The "I" at the beginning of the word and the "E" at the end of the word are of slightly larger font than the rest of the word, which runs longer than the roof figure above it. Under that are the stylized words "SERVICE-LEARNING" and "CIVIC ENGAGEMENT", all in capital letters separated by the word "AND" in slightly smaller font and in all capital letters. The font for this phrase is not bold. The whole phrase is center-aligned and runs very slightly longer than the word "INSTITUTE" above it.
