expansion of rights?

A company registers a mark associated with a toaster, they use it on blenders, microwaves etc, but only use a single classification for the toaster (lets assume all the other products are not in the same IC). B company want to register the same mark and places it on a knife block (holder).
So company A saves the classification fees, but if they get a favorable judgement, their rights are essentially expanded within the trademark office, without even registering for the mark unde...
