The mark consists of Non-Latin Hebrew text characters, which transliterate to "Hamafteach L'Talmud Bavli" and means "The key to the Babylonian Talmud" in English, together with the design of a key depicted vertically to the right of the text with the key portion pointing up, and the the key design features a central shank with a handle at the bottom in the shape of intertwined scrollwork, with two key bits extending horizontally and out to the right from the top end of the shank with a space between the bits, and two arched spaces running vertically near the base of the bits giving the impression of an open book, with the shank capped with a small pin at the top.
