Description of Design Search

The mark consists of an outer circle with the words SERRADA at the bottom, LARGO MANO in the upper left side and DECUERDAS in the upper right side, each word separated by a 5 point star. Within the outer circle is a circle containing a triangle in the center with the single point up. A shield is superimposed on the triangle. A bolo crossed at the top with a rattan stick and a dagger across the bottom (between the uncrossed portions of the bolo and rattan stick) is superimposed on the shield. At the bottom of the shield is a lock and key above the letters SLD. The geometric infinity sign with a circle around the center and diagonal lines crossing at the center is on the left side of the triangle. A spiral with diagonal lines crossing at the center of the spiral is on the right side of the triangle. The acronym SLD is S = SERRADA is to close, and L = LARGO MANO is to keep hand far or delayed, and D = DEQUERDAS is to wind or wrap around which are the three central concepts of SLD escrima, the Filipino martial art, as taught by Dentoy Revillar.
