Description of Design Search

The mark consists of a stylized dog head wearing a space helmet. The top of the dog's head is brown with white and black detailing lines, and the lower portion of the dog's head and face is white with black detailing lines. The dog's eyes are outlined in black and have gray shading around them, and are filled with white with gray shaded areas. Each eye has a black pupil with highlighted white areas. Below each eye is a series of stylized lines in black. The dog's nose is outlined in black, has a black line running down the center, has two black nostrils, and is filled with brown and white highlighted areas. The area between the dog's nose and mouth is brown with an array of black dots and has a black line running horizontally down the center. The dog's mouth is outlined in and filled with black, has red gums with white highlighted areas at the bottom of the mouth, white teeth that are outlined in black, and a red tongue with white highlighted areas. The dog's helmet is outlined in black, and filled with gray with white highlighted areas. Partially above and behind the dog is a stylized depiction of outer space. The background of the depiction is comprised of stylized cloudy shape that is filled with blue and has black around the edges. An array of white stars overlays the cloudy shape. A vertical series of three planets outlined in black overlay the cloudy shape to the upper-left of the dog, and a vertical series of three planets outlined in black overlay the cloudy shape to the upper-right of the dog. The planet on the lower-left is blue, the planet in the middle-left is red, and the planet on the upper-left is Saturn. Saturn is orange with yellow stripes and has a white ring that is outlined in black. The planet on the lower-right is yellow with orange stripes, the planet in the middle-right is purple, and the planet on the upper-right is the Earth. The Earth is blue with green landmasses and has white cloudy areas. Between the two series of planets and above the dog is a stylized alien spaceship. The spaceship is outlined in black, and is filled with gray with white highlighted areas. The spaceship has two windows that are outlined in black and filled with green. Two black lines descend downward from the bottom of the spaceship. Below the spaceship and underlying the descending lines is a triangular yellow area that is outlined in black. All the forgoing is above the stylized word "LAIKA" in black. All other uses of white in the drawing represent background and/or transparent areas and are not features of the mark.
