The mark consists of a label in two parts. The upper label has a chevron shape with the top portion in gold with the wording PRODUCT OF GERMANY - IMPORTED PRODUIT D'ALLEMAGNE IMPORTE followed by a black section on which appears a coat of arms in red, black and gold containing the wording KOSTRITZER BRAUKUNST on a ribbon beneath a crest, under which appears the word "SCHWARZBIER" in white script. The bottom of the chevron-shaped top of the label is red with a textured pattern. The second portion of the label is oval with the exterior appearing gold and black and the interior appearing black with white lettering on which appears the wording GEBRAUT NACH DEM DEUTSHEN REINHEITSGEBOT and the wording SEIT 1543 appearing on either side of a second coat of arms in gold, red and black containing the German wording KOSTRITZER BRAUKUNST. Below that appears the name "KOSTRITZER" in white and the word "SCHWARZBIER" in gold. A red, gold and black ribbon bisects the oval vertically. At the bottom of the oval appears the wording 330ML, 11.2 FL. OZ. and the applicant's name, KOSTRITZER SCHWARZBIERBRAUEREI and the applicant's address, BAD KOSTRITZ, all in white.
