The mark consists of the wording "KIRIN FREE" above Japanese characters that transliterate to "KIRIN FREE" above the wording "NON-ALCOHOL" above the wording "MALT BEVERAGE". Above the wording "KIRIN FREE" is a design of a stylized mythical hooved Chinese chimerical creature known as a Kirin, which appears as a cross between a deer and a dragon with flames emanating from its body. In the background of the Kirin design and the above-stated wording are incomplete concentric oval designs with the innermost and outermost ovals containing a repetitive series of horizontal lines.
