The mark consists of resembles the shape of a badge or shield, with the full width of the top of the mark formed by a perspective depiction of a mountain range. The mark contains a stylized picture depicting a road, which runs from the lower half of the mark towards the upper half, disappearing between trees and towards the mountains and setting sun in the distance. The setting sun is situated in the center of the distant mountain range, with the sun obscuring portions of the bottoms of the most distant mountains at the top of the mark, and the nearer mountains obscuring a lower portion of the sun, creating the impression of the sun setting between the fore and aft mountains. The top/rear mountains are shaded, evoking the impression of snow-covered peaks at higher elevations with shadows inherent to a dimly lit topography. The mountains in the foreground, in front of the setting sun, are shaded as if illuminated by the setting sun. Trees of various sizes and perspective, with various levels of shading and shadowing, are depicted across the width of the approximate center of the mark in the foreground, in front of the lower, nearer mountains. The bottom exterior of the mark is in the shape of a semi-circle and depicts three 3-dimensional spike-like triangles projecting outward, at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions on the semi-circle, and two smaller 3-dimensional spike-like triangles projecting outward, at the approximate 4 and 8 o'clock positions on the semi-circle. The literal mark "CONTINENTAL ROADS" is depicted horizontally across the lower half of the mark with the smaller font "roads" directly below the word "Continental" and centered underneath it, towards the bottom of the design. The "Continental" lettering is wider than the width of the semi-circle portion of the mark and overlaps the sides.
