The mark consists of a seal consisting of three concentric circles, where the second inner circle is shaded and contains the words "CIVILIAN MARKSMANSHIP" at the top, a five point star on each side and the word "PROGRAM" at the bottom. The center features an eagle design grasping three arrows, shown under a smaller shield design with a square top and five straight lines below. Above the eagle there are seven straight lines in the shape of an arch, with eight five point stars between each line. Below the eagle there is an olive branch design.
