The mark consists of a thick gold outline forming an irregular shaped label, with a thinner gold outline inside of it. The area between the two lines, and the background of the inner portion of the mark appear in white. At the top of the inner portion is the gold wording "BELGIUM'S ORIGINAL", under which is a gold horn with black outline and detailing and white used for reflection; a gold plant motif with black outline appears above the curve of the horn. Under the horn is a gold banner with black outline containing the black wording "ANNO", followed by a black eight-pointed star, followed by the black wording "1366". A wheat and plant motif in gold with black outline appears on either end of the banner. That banner also helps form an interior red irregularly shaped area that is surrounded by a plant scroll motif in gold, with black outline. The white stylized wording "STELLA ARTOIS", with black shadowing, appears in the red area. Under that portion is the black stylized wording "PREMIUM LAGER BEER", and under that is the gold wording LEUVEN, with black shadowing, superimposed on three gold circles containing miscellaneous designs.
