The mark consists of the word HOUSTON in stylized capital letters on a black rectangular background. The black rectangular background is not claimed as a feature of the mark. The letter "H" in the word HOUSTON is formed by a hand in the form of a hand gesture featuring raised pinky and index fingers with the back of the hand facing the viewer. The pinky finger features a pinky ring. An outline of the downtown skyline of the city of Houston appears at the base of the hand. The first letter "O" in the word HOUSTON is formed by a wheel rim in the nature of a swanga. The letter "U" in the word HOUSTON features a cup on its upper left side from which a liquid is pouring onto the left side of the letter "U." The letter "S" in the word HOUSTON is formed by two curved lines and two circles. The letter "T" in HOUSTON is formed by a cross. The vertically arranged wording "TOUSLESAINTE" appears in all capital letters on the left side of the cross underneath the horizontal cross-piece of the cross design. Kneeling cherubims with their wings spread out forward appear on top of either side of the horizontal cross-piece of the cross design having a "feather-like" appearance. The second letter "O" in the word HOUSTON represents the moon with an astronaut inside reaching forward wearing a space suit with an oxygen tank on the front. Dash lines representing a stylized highway and three Texas highway road signs encircle the astronaut. The road sign to the left of the astronaut features the numeral 10 and the road sign to the right of the astronaut features the numeral 610. The road sign across the astronauts head features the numeral 59. Incomplete oval designs shown scattered on the moon design represent the moon's surface. The letter "N" in the word HOUSTON is merely in stylized capital form.
