The mark consists of a circular design bordered by a gold band, within which is a red band, all outlined in black. Within this red band are the words "SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS FORCES" in yellow. Inside this red band is another gray band, surrounding an interior circular field of gold. Within that is a black design suggesting the tip of a spear. Within that is a silver globe with the continents in gold and white and black shadowing lines, a silver eagle with white and black shadowing lines perched atop the globe, with the eagle holding in its mouth a streaming silver banner bearing the words "SEMPER FIDELIS" in red and a gold anchor and gold anchor rode with white and black shadowing lines positioned partially behind the globe, with silver ropes with white and black shadowing lines on them wrapped around the top and bottom of the anchor.
