At the base of the pour stem of the bottle is a circular seal containing the bust of a bearded man around which is the wording "ABSOLUT SINCE 1879 L.O. SMITH". Below the seal and on the face of the bottle is the stylized word "ABSOLUT" above the words "MADE IN THE VILLAGE OF ÅHUS, SWEDEN. ABSOLUT SINCE 1879".
