Description of Design Search

The mark consists of a three-dimensional configuration comprising a design of a bottle and label; at the top of the label are three concentric circles outlined in blue with blue horizontal lines in between in the second and innermost circles and in the middle is a design depicting a warrior on a boat in front of a sunrise in the middle and the blue words and numbers "ANO TO 1888" above the design and the signature "S. METAXA" written in blue; all of the aforementioned outlined in blue on a yellow background; below the circles design are the words "ANO TO 1888" and "METAXA THE ORIGINAL GREEK SPIRIT" in blue letters; below this wording is a blue banner containing five gold stars and the number and wording "5 STARS" in white; below the banner is the bottom portion of the yellow label with the signature "S. METAXA" written in blue; below the signature is a blue medal hanging from a closed-top crown and ribbon, all outlined in blue, with wording in Greek non-Latin characters in blue, all on a yellow background; on either side of the ribbon are six medals outlined in blue on a yellow background; the coins bearing respectively an image of a bust of a male figure, a laurel wreath, a standing female figure, a seated figure, a walking anthropomorphic lion and a bearded male figure, with each coin containing designs of scribbles on the perimeter of the coins, all outlined in blue on a yellow background; solid blue appears at the bottom and at the top of the yellow square label and blue outline dots and solid outlines appear at the top portion and bottom portion of the label; the bottle design consists of a series of longitudinal indented vertical flutes resembling flutes on a Greek architectural column, on an upper tapered portion of a bottle. The broken lines depicting the bottle shape, the bottle cap and the bottle cap label indicate placement of the mark on the goods and are not part of the mark.
