The mark consists of a design of a shield upon which is a Dominican cross, of which the vertical bar is longer than the horizontal bar. A diagonal line cuts through the upper right corner and out the lower left corner of where the bars of the cross intersect. This diagonal line continues out both the upper and lower corners to divide the shield as well as the cross into two separate sections.
