I haven't started trading yet, but when i TM my product range I'm interested to know if it's worth registering in countries outside of NZ. What would it cost to register in USA Europe and Australia etc. Or should I just start selling my branded product to these areas and worry later?

So, a few friends and I are trying to start our own clothing line. We have a name, and a set design logo that is used in serveral of our designs. However, there is a company with a trademark for the same word we want to use. The designs are completely different, absolutely no similarity. Lets say they only produce shoes, and all we want to make are things like shirts, sweatshirts, and hats and stuff like that. Is this an issue? I am looking for a search engine that can give me adequate information so that I can research this properly, or If these dont n exist can you tell me how to research this so that I will not later get sued for using someones name i did not know I used.

Dear all, Would anyone have an idea how the US trademark classifications are defined? Within the 'Trademark categories' section there are the 45 INTERNATIONAL classes defined.... however, when examining a single trademark, trademarkia.com also reports US classifications, which seem to be more detailed. they are displayed at the botum of the information page attached to a trademark filing... what you see there is one international class, and then attached to this a number of US classi...
