Choosing the correct IC Number

I am trying to apply for my own trademark - it's a simple set of word that appear to be available, but I am having trouble assigning the correct IC (International Category).
I have two competitors, one is in IC 012 and one in IC 018 - both of the descriptions after the IC #, though, don't match any of the descriptions in the listing when I search IC numbers.

For example:
One competitor, on the TESS record says: IC 012 - PET CAR SEAT
Another, says: 018: G &...

I have a quick question.  I have a name for a cycle tour company I intend to start in England.  The name is great, but it is already used by a bike shop in Canada.  There is no geographical or business overlap in what each company does, and the domain name I want is available.  However, is this legal to do, or could I be sued by the Canadians?  I do not know how to check if they have registered this as a trademark under Canadian law?  If they haven't, does this a...

Can an applicant outside U.S. who does not have a real business office or location in the U.S. proceed to filing his trademark applications online without an interference of a local attorney? I am just wondering if the applications go to finial registration, will the USPTO send directly the certification of registration to the applicant that locates in a foreign country. Thanks anyone who replies.
