Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a trademark registration last?
In many countries, trademarks can endure for as long as they are used in commerce and all necessary fees are paid. In the US, a trademark once issued lasts for a period of ten years. Thereafter, the trademark owner will have to file "an application for renewal" every ten years from the date of registration between year nine and ten along with the requisite fee to maintain its trademark registration.
