I want to trademark a unique spelling of an existing single word (geographic area). This unique spelling will appear on different products. I want to be able to ensure that no one else uses this word to replicate our products. Am I trademarking a name or a slogan in this case and is a copyright also required?

I have a cup with two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels running together which I love so much and would like to use the photo on stationery, a new bus, windows in my van. My husband has a buckle from the The Great American Chicago Buckle Co., with serial number 113, limited edition, copyright 1978, made in USA, on front it saids I'Rather be Drunk, it's very heavy and I would like to know more about it!
