(1) - Services to the general public, to the Veterinary profession and to Registered Equine Massage Therapists arising from participation in an organization providing promotional and communication services, professional discipline and supervisory services, national and international liaison with other practitioners of equine massage therapy, public information and complaint resolution services, regulation of educational programs and setting of standards of ethics and standards of practice, all in relation to the practice of equine massage therapy by Registered Equine Massage Therapists who are registered members in good standing of the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists
(2) - Massage therapy of the equine body services practised on horses by manipulation of the soft tissues and joints to develop flexibility, augment physical functions and relieve discomfort, equine massage therapy for physical conditioning to enhance training and improve comfort and athletic performance of horses, the practice of equine massage therapy utilizing scientific equine massage techniques learned by completing educational courses approved by the International Federation of Registered Equine Therapists for training equine massage therapists, equine massage therapy performed in accordance with the registration examinations and standards of practice required by the International Federation of Registered Equine Therapists
