(1) - Providing for the orderly development of the Saskatchewan pulse crop industry by promoting and improving understanding among individuals and organizations of the pulse crop industry through public education, publication of brochures and newsletters, videos and public appearances at schools and trade shows; developing procedures to maximize returns to producers of pulse crops; conducting research on the production, marketing, processing and consumption of pulse crops; establishing a system of levies on pulse crops for the purpose of carrying out the objectives of the Saskatchewan pulse crop development board.
