(1) - Dissemination of information concerning eggs to members of the public, promotion of the interests of Canadian egg farmers and promotion of the consumption of eggs, the preparation and provision of promotional materials, television programmes, audio-visual presentations, television and print advertising campaigns, and displays in respect of eggs; providing information about eggs and the Canadian egg industry on the internet and through the operation of a website; planning and conducting marketing and advertising initiatives promoting the activities and interests of Canadian egg farmers; providing public communication and media campaigns relating to eggs by means of advertising, web site and public relations campaigns as well as through online journals, blogs, news threads, interactive social websites, podcasts and webcasts
(2) - Administration and operation of a certification program certifying the compliance of third party individuals, organizations and entities engaged in the production, sale and foodservice of eggs and egg products and meeting the applicant's prescribed standards
