(1) - Sponsorship activities, namely promoting and fostering amateur athletics throughout Canada by co-ordinating and conducting hockey competitions for participants in various series of competition; advancing the participation in and awareness of ice hockey through financial support; providing access to resources and materials that would be helpful to coaches, administrators, teams, players and fans; and the organization and staging of special events relating to the promotion of, and participation in, hockey tournaments.
