Description:

(1) - Providing information and advice relating to mortgage financing, mortgage insuring and mortgage brokering; association services, namely promoting and advocating the interests of mortgage professionals by testifying at legislative proceedings and meetings with government policy-makers; communicating the views and objectives of mortgage professionals to the public, government, international bodies, interest groups and the media by means of newsletters, websites, electronic communications, advocacy, events, brochures, information packages and media relations; advocacy on behalf of mortgage professionals regarding legal issues and issues of interest to the mortgage industry; promoting and representing the interests of mortgage professionals by providing a vehicle for national and international advocacy; establishing and enforcing guidelines for the purpose of maintaining a uniform standard or proficiency and professional ethics among mortgage professionals; providing certification services for mortgage professionals; providing educational services, namely providing on-line courses, workshops and seminars relating to mortgage financing, mortgage insurance and mortgage brokering; developing and offering courses, conferences, conventions and seminars concerning mortgage financing, mortgage insurance and mortgage brokering; publishing division papers and briefs in the areas of mortgage financing, mortgage insurance and mortgage brokerage issues; on-line services, namely the operation of a website for the delivery of information regarding mortgage financing, mortgage insurance and mortgage brokerage issues, hosting an on-line community for members of the mortgage profession; organizing and conducting business meetings, seminars, forums, conferences, business mentoring forums, Internet information sessions, networking breakfasts, lunches and receptions, social events, organizing and sponsoring sporting events, namely golf tournaments and social galas for the purpose of promoting and advancing the interests of the mortgage profession to tbe public, government, international bodies, interest groups and the media; providing special rates for liability insurance, group benefits, errors and omissions insurance and other insurance benefits to mortgage professionals; organizing, conducting, reviewing and interpreting consumer surveys with respect to mortgage financing, mortgage insurance and mortgage brokering.
(2) - Publications published in print, on-line or electronic form, namely brochures, booklets, leaflets, flyers, newsletters, magazines, journals, membership directories; pre-recorded audio cassettes, pre-recorded video cassettes, pre-recorded CD ROMs and pre-recorded DVDs containing information regarding mortgage financing, mortgage insurance and mortgage brokering issues.
