Description:

(1) - Operation of a food distribution system for its members and the solicitation, collection, inspection, storage, and distribution of food, food related products, household and personal use items namely shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, other hair products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand and body lotion, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, liquid dish soap, dishwasher powder, household cleaning products, diapers, feminine hygiene products and batteries for the purpose of alleviating hunger amongst low-income persons in Canada; Advocacy services, namely, lobbying the government in respect of the issues of food banks and food bank users; Charitable fund raising services; Organizing and conducting fund raising events.
(2) - Casual clothing, hats, caps, key chains, mugs, pens; bags, namely, cloth, tote and shopping bags, purses, sports bags; water bottles, cutlery and dishes, namely, plates, cups, bowls and saucers for dining; baskets, namely, bread, hamper, laundry, wastepaper and decorative baskets; educational materials, namely, audio tapes, pre-recorded video tapes, pre-recorded audio and video CD-ROMS (non-software) and pre-recorded audiovisual DVDs (non-software), all containing movies, music, reports, videos and photos all in the field of food banks and alleviating hunger; printed signs and displays.
(3) - Printed matter, namely educational and research reports and surveys in the fields of hunger and food bank issues.
(4) - Promoting public interest and awareness of hunger and food bank issues; Conducting research and surveys in the fields of hunger and food bank use.
(5) - Organizing and conducting international and local conferences in the fields of hunger and food bank issues.
(6) - Education services, namely, providing seminars, workshops, and educational materials online and in person in the fields of hunger and food bank use.
