(1) - Medical system for specimen collection and handling comprised of needles; needle holders; specimen collection tubes; separation tubes; sharps collectors, namely, medical waste containers; safety devices, namely, syringes, lancets, holders, blood collection sets, namely, patient needles and collection container needles that are connected by a flexible tubing conduit and a flexible wing-like gripping structure that attaches to the patient needle that facilitates manipulation of the needle; and blood transfer devices, namely, an adapter for connection between a syringe and a collection vessel that allows blood to be transferred from the syringe into the collection vessel.
