Pauly D is facing a $4 million lawsuit from a Connecticut DJ who claims that his business has been ruined due to Pauly D, states The New York Post. He is facing a trademark infringement lawsuit as the man claims he has been “DJ Paulie” for 40 years and has now had that overtaken by Pauly D.,The lawsuit also reportedly claims that MTV flooded the public with so much ‘Jersey Shore’ that his business has been damaged.

On June 9th, 2011 he received an Office Action letter on his second trademark application of the same name. The second application was filed under class 9 (Computer & Software Products & Electrical & Scientific Products), class 41 (Education and Entertainment) and class 43 (Restaurant and Hotel Services).,

Paul Lis, The conneticutt DJ who "claims that his business has been ruined due to Pauly D" has two registered trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office: "DJ Paulie" and "DJ Paulie's Worldwide Countdown."
