Shana Thomas

Practice statement

Shana is an Intellectual Property Attorney whose practice focuses primarily on trademark and copyright law. Through her practice, Shana strategically advises creators, entrepreneurs, and entertainers to protect and capitalize on their intellectual property assets. Shana has experience advising clients on intellectual property matters, securing protection for emerging brands, managing IP portfolios, negotiating licensing deals, and enforcing intellectual property rights against infringers and counterfeits. Prior to joining Trademarkia, Shana worked for Discovery, Inc., the Estée Lauder Companies, and New York City-based law firms where she worked with entrepreneurs and global brands on various intellectual property clearance, defense, and enforcement matters. Shana holds a Certificate in Intellectual Property from the New York Law School Innovation Center for Law & Technology and previously served as a member of the New York City Bar Association's Trademark and Unfair Competition Committee while in law school. Shana is a native North Carolinian and a former collegiate cheerleader. In her spare time, Shana enjoys traveling and pilates.
