The Maltese cross is imposed on top of a design of two intersecting axes, forming an X-shape. The handles of the axes are brown with dark brown shadowing. The cheeks of the axes are red with dark red shadowing. The bits of the axes are gray with dark gray shadowing. The Maltese cross and axe designs are on a blue background, which forms the center of a badge. The top section of the badge features the stylized wording "SAN MARCOS" in white, on a red background. The bottom section of the badge features the stylized wording "FIRE DEPARTMENT" in white, on a red background.
