It won't let me go lower than 1 star. Same issues as the rest of you. So how do we "repair" our 400sq ft deck?

Power washed deck after using deck cleaner. Let dry for a week prior to using revitalize. 1 year later and deck is already peeling in spots. Very disappointing product and expensive.

We stripped our deck totally last summer and cleaned as directed for using this product, and this spring we have peeling in numerous spots as well as smaller areas where it has lifted. Very disappointed after all the prep work we did along with the waste of money!!!

Applied this product last year in the fall. Looked great at the time. After winter came & left my deck looked worse than it did prior to using Revitalize. It was cracking, chipping, peeling and even cracked the wood. Contacted PPG who stated the harsh winter was the cause. They reimbursed the paint cost so I went out & bought more to re-do the deck. After sanding areas of chipped paint, cleaning & preparing the deck I began to re-stain it again with the Revitalize. I couldn't even get 1/2 gallon on because it was peeling up the remainder of the paint and "not" sticking to the wood properly. Now the area I have attempted to fix is even worse as paint pieces are globed together and other areas are bare. Hate this product! I will contact the company but the reimbursement of paint doesn't account for the time & supplies I have put into this "mess". Very disappointed in the product. Fell I need to rip my entire deck out now and restart fresh.

I used this product July 2014. After this winter I hosed the deck and swept. First little strips started peeling off. The more I swept and hosed the more it came off. Went to Menards and told them what happened. Showed her pics on my iPad. She told me this was the 4th complaint they received on Revitalize. Told her I asked the counter guy what I had to do ie, prime sand ect. The deck was 3 years old never stained had no grease or cracks. They gave me a form and had the phone number on the counter from last person that was there with same complaint. Then I asked why do you have this product still on shelf. The one gal said she personally would not recommend. Kind of get the feeling they, Pittsburg, may replace cost of paint but that's not much help. Unless I completely get every bit off I can't stain. That will take forever. This product is horrible. Upset in Port Huron Michigan
