The mark consists of The words Permit and Zone are displayed in white, gray or black text depending on background color. The icon that is situated to the left of Permit Zone reflects a red map marker, commonly referred to as a location pin that rests on top of a contoured outline shape that reflects a paper permit card and/or piece of paper associated with the process for pulling a permit. The outline of the contoured shape is displayed in white, gray or black depending on background color. The offset curvature of the pin/marker not only represents a distinct point typically associated with a point on a map, but also that we are doing all the 'thinking' behind filling out permits for the customer. The pin is both a marker of location for where the specific permit information is being pulled from and a symbol of the thinking we do for contractors, so submitting what are typically very complicated and lengthy forms becomes a uniformly simple process.
