The mark consists of a three-dimensional configuration of a bottle. The bottle consists of a blue wrapped cap with a thin gold band. Beneath the cap is a vertical red ribbon outlined in gold bearing the wording "VSOP" twice in its entirety flanked by "VS" and "OP" on either side, all in gold, ending with an embossed, gold circular medal. Within the gold circular medal is a gold shield surrounded by leaves bearing three mallets with "1715" on the top and "COGNAC MARTELL" on the bottom encircled by a thin circle. On the center of the bottle is a red rectangular shaped label with a gold outline. The label from top to bottom consists of a gold stylized flying bird, the wording "MARTELL" in white within a blue rectangular background, a gold shield surrounded by leaves bearing three mallets, the letters "V.S.O.P" in gold flanked by two horizontal gold lines; the wording "MEDAILLON" in white, the signature "J. MARTELL" in gold and a horizontal gold line.
