The mark consists of a black rectangle with a gold border and with an outer border with a repetitive diamond design in various shades of black and gold and with small gold diamonds in the background. Inside the black rectangle is a gold horseshoe with a flat bottom on which appears and the wording "2004" and two scroll designs in brown. At the top of the horseshoe design is a depiction of a face with black hair, eyebrows and pupils, brown skin and white iris on a gold circle. On either side of the circle appears hops and barely in various shades of gold and black. A decorative scroll design appears in gold below the circle. The wording "PRIDE AND EXCELLENCE" the non-Latin characters which transliterate to "HA-BESH-A" and the word "HABESHA" appear in various shades of gold inside the horseshoe design.
