This may help some of you: I have found that cleaning/unclogging is best done by shaking out all remaining medication, then using an eyedropper to put 5 drops of distilled water followed by 7 drops of distilled white vinegar into the med. cup. Tilt the unit slightly forward and let it sit for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, shake the unit vigorously, then dump out the vinegar/water solution. Rinse the med. cup with distilled water with a couple of squirts from the eyedropper. Now put 2 drops of distilled water into the med. cup and turn the unit on and off a couple of times. Turn it on a third time and leave it on. A mist should start coming out at this point. Leave the unit on, pumping out the water mist for one minute. At this point, dump out the water and shake out as much excess as you can. Immediately refill med. cup with medication (do NOT let it air dry) and turn back on. Unit should operate for about a week(20-30 shots) before having to repeat. DO NOT USE REGULAR BOTTLED WATER OR TAP WATER. ONLY USE DISTILLED WATER AND DISTILLED WHITE VINEGAR.

The medication is great, the delivery system is absolute garbage! What irritates me more then anything is we had a great product on the market, rescue inhalers were available at your local drug store they were yanked off the shelves without a replacement. Oh but if you go to your doctor you'll get a script for a new inhaler that is going to cost you 10X more then predecessor (no exaggeration) 10X more. Oh and the story gets better, we are told this was done to protect our environment! Yes folks they truly expect us to believe propellant is somehow bad for mother nature even though we inhale the substance. The real story here is the developer of the new HFA inhaler has donated to many of our wonderful politicians campaigns so when it came time to repay their debt they did so by taking his competition off the market. We have environmentalists who fly in their private jets to global warming summits and those same people want to remove our inhalers off the market because it "possibly just might" play a teeny tiny factor in global warming!!! So now were stuck with an inferior product that doesn't work for 10 times the cost!!
