| Mark Description:
||The mark consists of The first step was to design the initials "CAC" in a creative way as the name Colorado Autism Consultants is a fairly long title and would not be ideal to incorporate in the design itself. The initials "CAC" can be located in the leaves of the tree, with both "C's" rotated slightly so it might be hard to spot at first glance, which was intentional. When you take a quick glance, you will notice either the leaves of the tree or the "CAC," or perhaps both. Due to the fact the initials also need to look like leaves, they were drawn instead of using an existing font. Next, the trunk of the tree was drawn to match the style and position of the leaves, but also has a "hidden" meaning behind it as well. Take a look at the "branches" of the tree where it splits, you will notice when the leaves are added to the logo, it creates a Pangaea effect. A closer glance shows where the leaves may have been attached to the tree at some point in time, before they separate from the tree itself. This is meant to symbolize a break away from an individual 's comfort zone and the possibilities that lie ahead in the future. It also symbolizes a foundation with strong roots that an individual can always go back to their roots if necessary. Additionally, the leaves themselves are angled slightly to the right to convey forward progress in all walks of life. Finally, the circle around the tree itself was both an aesthetic and psychological decision. Aesthetically, the rounded circle is a better choice as nature itself is asymmetrical, generally with very few sharp angles. Psychologically, the rounded circle represents a "circle of trust" with a curved boundary surrounding the tree symbolizing a rounding of the edges, so to speak, or thinking outside the box. Combine all these elements together, and you have a "Brand" for your company, that not only has an easily recognizable logo that is simple yet effective, but also a logo that has a meaning behind it that expresses the values of Colorado Autism Consultants. Color Theory is an important part of any design. When used correctly can convey a very powerful effect to the viewer without them even knowing it. It is important to understand the psychology of color and how to use it correctly. Here is a breakdown of how these principles were used for the Colorado Autism Consultants logo: Yellow is the color of sunshine. It's associated with joy, happiness, intellect and energy. Yellow produces a warming effect, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity and generates muscle energy. In heraldry, yellow indicates honor and loyalty. Yellow was chosen for the first leaf as people read from left to right in the U.S.A. and this is the first leaf you see when you look at the logo. This helps convey a sense of welcome for the clients of CAC and automatically gives them a sense of cheerfulness and energy, which is good for business. Try to think of each leaf as a phase in the CAC program. The Yellow Leaf is Phase 1 of 3. Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety. Green has great healing power. It is the most restful color for the human eye; it can improve vision. Green suggests stability and endurance. In heraldry, green indicates growth and hope. Olive green is the traditional color of peace. Green was chosen as the second leaf for multiple reasons. First and foremost, it is the color of nature so naturally you would have a green leaf on a tree. Second, it symbolizes growth which builds on the Yellow Leaf principle in Phase 1. Finally, it symbolizes safety so clients will always have peace of mind knowing they are in good hands with Colorado Autism Consultants. The Green Leaf is Phase 2 of 3. Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth and heaven. Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness. In heraldry, blue is used to symbolize piety and sincerity. Blue was chosen as the last leaf due to the fact it is associated with depth and stability. As Phase 3, it symbolizes the clients' growth from the day they started the CAC program in terms of having more depth and stability in all walks of life. Additionally, is associated with leaving the client with an enhanced sense of trust, loyalty and confidence. Finally, it is also associated with health and healing, a process that may have been an obstacle before attending the CAC program. The Blue Leaf is the 3rd and final phase.
