The mark consists of a stylized white Edison bulb with a stylized American flag in red, white, and navy blue with a single white star, and a stylized crown of the Statue of Liberty in navy blue on the bulb and above the flag design, with a stylized red light-emitting diode (LED) design on the body of the bulb, with twenty-four white five-pointed stars placed around the Edison bulb inside a gold circle with a navy blue background; the wording "AMERICAN LED ASSOCIATION" appears in navy blue between the gold circle and another outer circle in gold on a white background with an additional navy blue circle around the outer gold circle. The Edison bulb's base uses a stylized American flag with one (1) white star located at bottom right corner, and two (2) white strips on the left of the flag. The flag consists red color at upper left corner, and transits into navy blue at bottom right corner. A crown in navy blue with four (4) spikes is placed above the stylized American flag. At the top of the Edison bulb, there are stylized symbol of Light Emitting Diode (LED) that consists of (1) a red incomplete circle represents electronic circuits, (2) a red-solid triangle with a vertical red line represents symbol of diode, (3) two 45 degree red arrows toward right top direction means the emitting light rays.
